ESPN’s Matt Miller says, “Don’t be surprised” if Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze is the second wide receiver off the board. Odunze is heavily committed to the Bears as a candidate for the No. 9 pick.

It could certainly be a wrench, or provide a gift for the bears in the draft.

Caleb Williams arrives at the draft

The presumptive Bears quarterback arrived in Detroit with his mother and girlfriend by his side. He wears a navy blue suit with silver lining and a neat side zipper. Williams spoke before the draft and also signed autographs.

5:27 p.m.: Bears ‘made calls both ways’ about trading pick No. 9

According to SI’s Albert Breer, the Bears (and the Broncos) have “called both ways” when it comes to pick No. 9. Are they thinking about moving up in the draft?

Meet Caleb Williams

USC quarterback Caleb Williams will undoubtedly be the next Bears quarterback taken at No. 1 in the draft.

He is one of the most highly touted quarterback prospects in recent memory. Some dare to nickname him a “generational talent” based on an abundance of his best skills.
